Cloner

I wanted to find a word within a word and highlight the word within.  Cloner is an interesting word because in Cinema 4D you use it all the time to duplicate objects, and it also happens to have the word one inside it.  So I chose that.  I used the Physical Renderer and turned on depth of field.  Then added a camera and played with the f stop to get the right depth of field.  It didn't work like I wanted to until I went to Edit > Scale project.  I used linear daylight and fog for light.

Did some experimenting with the render settings in Cinema 4D.  Mostly the Standard Renderer with Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination. Then messed with the Physical renderer.  GI really bounces the light and AO helps with the details in the shadows.  Then finished up in Photoshop.

The Women's locker room at the Aquatic Center.  Every time I go in there I think, I should do something with these pink lockers.  So today I took my camera at lunch and snapped a few shots.  I thought my panorama was not going to be good enough to use as an HDR light for the scene, but it worked!  Hope to do some more of these using a panoramic shot to light the scene.

Mr. Potato Head

So I took on a challenge today.  Wanted to do some modeling without any tutorials.  So I picked this guy because I could see the simple shapes that make up the potato head.  It's not as simple as it looks but I was able to get where I wanted with it.  Happy Monday.

Ah, koosh balls, much better than gumballs.  Spent many hours as a kid playing with these.  Had a basketball goal attached to our door that went with it. Cheers.
