Learning how to color correct some video in Premiere Pro. This shot had too much yellow in the mix, I I added an adjustment layer with two Fast Color correctors, and used the color wheel to add some more blue. Then I played with the RGB curves which are very helpful in a lot of situations.
Found a guy who explained how to make a button badge. Followed along and here is what I made! Thankfully I already had drawn a cartoon of Judson. So I just used that as the picture. The most time consuming part was setting up the lights. Figuring out which lights worked for this scene came through a lot of trial and error. But finally, I am happy with this one.
With the election next month, it's a time to look at where our nation has been and where it is going. It's also time for me to learn how to make a flag blow in Cinema!
My Country 'Tis of Thee as sung by Act of Congress. (great band, go check them out!)
My country, 'tis of Thee, Sweet Land of Liberty Of thee I sing; Land where my fathers died, Land of the pilgrims' pride, From every mountain side Let Freedom ring.
My native country, thee, Land of the noble free, Thy name I love; I love thy rocks and rills, Thy woods and templed hills, My heart with rapture thrills Like that above.
Let music swell the breeze, And ring from all the trees Sweet Freedom's song; Let mortal tongues awake; Let all that breathe partake; Let rocks their silence break, The sound prolong.
Our fathers' God to Thee, Author of Liberty, To thee we sing, Long may our land be bright With Freedom's holy light, Protect us by thy might Great God, our King.
The Women's locker room at the Aquatic Center. Every time I go in there I think, I should do something with these pink lockers. So today I took my camera at lunch and snapped a few shots. I thought my panorama was not going to be good enough to use as an HDR light for the scene, but it worked! Hope to do some more of these using a panoramic shot to light the scene.
Every year the Professional Staff Assembly at UA gives an Outstanding Professional Award to two people. The awards last year were a little block of glass. It's early, but I was experimenting with pieces of a video for the awards ceremony.
At first I had some trouble getting the glass to render fully transparent. I've had trouble with glass before. So I starting to post my problem on Creative Cow. But then I realized that the problem was I had not turned down the brightness percentage of the color channel for the material. Turning that down got rid of the thick grey look which was not what I wanted. This was from a tutorial I watched. From this I also learning how to do a compound blur in after effects to give a slight blur to the edges.
